Nicki Lynch

Nicki and her dog Norm stumbled upon Wet Planet while on a road trip traveling through the North West from Colorado. She immediately fell in love with the friendly vibe at Wet Planet and was taken back with the luscious green scene here in Washington. A staff member since 2008, she can now be found doing almost everything at Wet Planet: answering phones and taking reservations, shooting photos, driving shuttle, guiding trips, helping out with kayak courses and paddling almost every day. Nicki is also Wet Planet's sustainability coordinator, where she plays a huge role in keeping Wet Planet green and continuing to find new ways to lessen our impcat on the environment. Nicki is an invaluable member of the Wet Planet team.

Before life at Wet Planet, Nicki spent her summers working for a non-profit organization in Colorado, leading multi day wilderness expeditions for kids. She was teaching outdoor education and self discovery while in the mountains backpacking and rock climbing. She is a college graduate from Colorado State University, with a degree in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources with a focus in sustainable tourism, community development and business.

Her passion for the outdoors started with backpacking, traveling, and rock climbing in the mountains of Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Mexico, and Costa Rica. Her passion for whitewater started with a few multi-day river trips down the Colorado River in Utah. After that she was pretty much hooked on the whitewater scene. Following her college years her new love for whitewater took over. She began kayaking in 2008, and paddle raft guiding in 2009.

Nicki spends her off seasons and winters traveling around or in the beautiful mountains of Crested Butte Colorado, snowboarding, teaching, and living the dream......oh yeah!

Don't forget about her super amazing, handsome, chill dog Norm. You can find him chilling on the back porch at Wet Planet 5 days a week ... please feel free to pet his belly!
