This course is designed for the kayaker who already has basic whitewater kayaking skills and wants to improve his or her technique or develop new skills.

The course is based out of our riverside headquarters in the Columbia River Gorge. Our instructors begin by working with students to understand their goals for the course and their skill development. We then take advantage of the area’s rivers to find the perfect setting to enable students to achieve their goals. From refining stroke technique to mastering new freestyle moves, our instructors will work closely with each student to help them meet their goals. We use both hands-on instruction and video to help students improve their technique and master new moves.

"Thank you for your instruction. I may repeat - your instruction was extremely more than I expected and I really appreciate your tons of patience with me. I admire you. Your instruction gave me the motivation for kayaking more. Also, thank you for your memos. I can remember what you taught. Hope to see you on some rivers again soon! Happy paddling!"
