Kayaking Students
I participated in the March 7 creeking class and wanted to thank Andy and Todd for a great experience. I have been in several classes before and always came away a better paddler but with the individual attention from Andy in this class I experienced one of those light bulb in the head moments and everything clicked as never before. I would highly recommend Andy and Todd to anyone looking to greatly increase their paddling ability. Thanks

Hey Ladies - If you want to learn playboating moves, no matter if you are a beginner or more advanced, I HIGHLY recommend taking Wet Planet's paddle and pamper playboating clinic. 5 of us spent Sunday on the Teiton with none other than local kayaking superstar Heather Herbeck and guest instructor, pro-playboater Christie Glissmeyer. Everyone who took this course improved or learned at least one move they've been working on, not to mention taking away a bunch of stuff to work on in the pool and on the river ... If you want to learn or improve ANY of these moves (or even if you are more advanced than these moves) Heather and Christie combined can teach it all! This is by far the BEST course i have ever taken ... These girls ROCK!!!!

Thank you Wet Planet As a kayaker who started in my late thirties, I have had my share of difficulties transitioning from class III to class IV whitewater. This class was a great way to learn some new moves an get on a more difficult river in a more controlled environment. Wet Planet has come a long way since I started kayaking in the Gorge and has brought on board some of the Northwest's best instructors. My biggest surprise was the addition of Nick Jacob who taught the class with Todd Collins. Nick worked with me earlier when I just started kayaking and even taught my son. Both gentlemen are not only very competent, but also have a knack for making even those whose skills maybe aren't there very confident to run some of those harder drops. If you don't make the run and happen to miss your roll............the guys were there to lend a boat bow for a quick T-rescue. Those involved, Liz, Jaco, Todd, Nick and of course Heather (for turning me on to the class in the first place), were a great group of seasoned and fun whitewater professionals. I look forward to my next adventure with you!

I can't say enough good things about the two-day class I took with Heather Herbeck from Wet Planet. I signed up for an all girls paddle weekend ... I highly recommend a course with Heather because she knows her stuff. She is professional, courteous, an over all great kayaker and instructor. Whatever you want to learn, she can teach ... I also need to mention Wet Planet as well. They have a pool to practice and fine-tune your roll, change rooms, shuttle, gift shop, espresso bar, snacks, and photos. Over all, I would rate the class a 10 on the set up to the instructions, to the personal care by my instructor Heather Herbeck, and Wet Planet.

Last summer I enrolled my two granddaughters, 9 and 10, in Wet Planet's Kids' Kayak Course. They loved it! The instructors, Jonathan and Heather, were great with the kids. They had patience, and did a great job getting the girls comfortable with the kayaks by playing games in the pool for the whole first day. They kept the girls safe, kept them entertained, and had a wonderful time with them. By the time the girls got to the river, they were ready for it. I would definitely recommend Wet Planet for anyone looking to get their children into an outdoor sport ... They want to come back and do the kids' course again next summer!

I've done two kayak courses at Wet Planet. The rescue course has already helped me make one effective rescue which I would have been a useless bystander if I hadn't taken the course. The second was a creeking skills course and it reinforced the guilty feeling I had after the rescue course - I get so much more than I pay for from Wet Planet, Andy, Todd, and the staff, that I feel like I would have gotten a bargain at twice the price.

Hey everyone at wetplanet, I wanted to say thanks for an awesome weekend of kayaking, especially to Andy and Heather for being awesome at what they do. They were both the best of teachers and kayakers. Sounds corny, but I mean it. Tara and I have been daydreaming about peel-outs and the waves at the end of Ishy Pishy since we got back home. Two days after returning from my final day with you this last Monday, after practicing in the lake for three hours straight two days in a row, I got the sweep roll down pat! Thanks Andy! The private lesson I had with Andy yesterday was superb. It was great to get on a river again after so many years. Andy made the experience that much better with his skilled, patient and kind instruction. My friend Greg who participated in yesterday's lesson echoed the same sentiment. I wanted to send a quick message telling y ou how much I enjoyed my time kayaking with Wet Planet on Friday and Saturday. You run a friendly and efficient business with reasonable prices. Clients cannot ask for more. I would be amiss not to mention what a great instructor you have in Heather. She was knowledge and safety oriented. She pushed me out of my comfort zone without getting me in over my head (Although I did find myself upside down a few times). But most of all she made the days fun.

Thank you all for a wonderful fun rafting experience. We Pacific Northwesterners "blew my southern cousins out of the water"with that experience! They will be talking about it at the next family reunion. Not only was the experience high on the fun unit scale, but the staff was just great - helpful, experienced, fun and friendly! I'd recommend Wet Planet to anyone and do it again, especially the falls!

Recently my grandson's class at Mountain Orchard Academy, a part of HRVHS, had planned a trip whitewater rafting on the Owyhee River. When the last budget cuts came down I assumed that the trip was off due to lack of funding. Not so! The wonderful people at Wet Planet donated the guides, equipment and rafts and the kids had an incredibly memorable experience. Thank you so much Lance, Gianni, Todd and John who led 13 teenagers into the woods and down the river. They came back with stories of...magical scenery and wonderful times.

...I recently traveled from California to take your White Salmon 1/2 day trip. I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for the experience we had rafting with Wet Planet, particularly our trip (and personal raft) guide, Lance. This satisfied customer wants to say "thank you." I know it's your job, but I also know by the professionalism Lance demonstrated that you all love your job, and that passion shines through to your rafters, making the whole experience amazing. In my case particularly, Lance (without realizing it, I'm sure) gave me back something I thought I lost: passion for the experience. This trip helped me find the adventurous part of me that I thought [I had lost]...Lance got that...he was patient and understanding, while encouraging. And I am certain that kind of treatment is part of who Wet Planet is as a company, and greatly appreciated by all who visit.

Hi, Jaco, And did I mention that we loved the photos? Truly an experience to remember. We all had an awesome time on the raft ride and liked Hootie, his running history and geology lessons, and his skill at rafting very much indeed. That was without a doubt, the most intense river rafting that I have done in my life. Today particularly rocked in that we not only had a blast in the rapids but we also experienced some full on rock scaling. I participated in my first ever raft lift, in which we saw the deflated raft as it was lifted one hundred feet in the air. Phenomenal leaders, Steve, Todd and Andy were a perfect definition of team. I definitely hope to return one day soon. Thanks for broadening my scope and perspective on how thrilling whitewater can be. The Farmlands was amazing!

I want to thank you guys for a wonderful rafting trip. We were there May 18th and 19th. A group of 10 guys from La Grande, OR. Noah and Liz were awesome on day 1 of raffting. They really know what they are doing and had great stories. Hootie and Liz and Chris on day 2 was equally great. Todd you are amazing in fact you are owner but still shuttle people and cook lunch and dinner for us. It was an amazing adventure and I am sure we are going to make this an annual event for us guys.
