Our instructors will work with you to improve your paddling skills. At Wet Planet, we recognize that not all of our students learn the same way and at the same pace. For that reason, our world-class instructors utilize a variety of different techniques to insure the greatest opportunity for success. Our low student to instructor ratio on all of our Oregon and Washington white water kayak instruction courses will make you feel like you're an individual, whether you in a group or private lesson.

Wet Planet offers a white water kayak course for every skill level. The goal for all of our kayak instruction is to teach paddlers to kayak safely, with good judgment while having a great time out on the river. On all of our courses, we focus on river reading, self-rescue, and safe paddling techniques, in addition to technical paddling skills. All of our daily offered courses meet at our headquarters along the banks of the White Salmon River. With a wide variety of sections within a short distance of our headquarters, this area is the perfect venue for all styles and skill levels of kayaking. Did we mention our on-site kayaking pool? You'll have the opportunity to enjoy the area's only private, on-site kayak pool, allowing you to work on your kayaking skills any day of the week, and without the distraction of other pool users.

If you’re interested in combining your passion for kayaking with wilderness travel, Wet Planet also offers kayak trips and courses to incredible multi-day paddling destinations.  Beginner and intermediate kayakers will love our 5-day Lower Salmon River Kayaking Trip, intermediate kayakers will enjoy our Rogue River trips, while advanced kayakers can experience a multi-day raft-support kayak expedition through the deepest canyon in the world on our Cotahuasi/Apurimac Expedition to Peru.
