Winter season is here! Check out how we enjoy the season!

With snow on the mountain and our rivers replenished we are excited about all the activities going on at Wet Planet as well as our staff community.

Wet Planet is busing preparing for the upcoming season, and things are starting early. Our kayak school is already kicking off with winter pool sessions, creeking clinics and much more. Check them out:

Want to work on your roll over the winter so you are ready and confident this spring? Join us for our winter pool sessions. We will be meeting at the hood river pool on the following Saturdays: January 23rd, February 20th, March 13th and April 24th.

Are you a class III/IV boater that wants to take your skills to the next level? Join us for our Pacific Northwest one-day creeking clinics that we offer on March 7th and May 20th and develop a wide range of skills to help you get to that next level in creeking.

We believe that every boater on the river should have basic river rescue skills, which is why we offer a one day rescue clinic for paddlers. River rescue is important for boaters at all skill levels, to help you be better prepared for situations on the river. We are offering these one day rescue clinics on: March 6th, April 11th and June 13th.

For those more interested in rafting, we can help with that too, join us for Guide School in April and we will teach you the skills to captain/guide your own raft. This is for anyone either seeking employment in the river industry or simply for recreation. Guide school is the first 4 weekends in April of 2010.

Outside of the Wet Planet office, there is also a lot of activity to report.
Wet Planet employees have finished for the season, but thanks to one of our awesome guides Drew Parker, many of them have not gone far. In fact, if you happen to be visiting Mt Hood Meadows ski resort there is a good chance you will see one of the happy faces of a Wet Planeteer! Were happy to have so many of our valued staff still in the area, thanks Drew!
While they are not up playing in the snow, many can be found doing what they love most, enjoying the rivers! Here in the Columbia River gorge and beyond, many of our staff are out kayaking their hearts out. Here are a few blogs of some of our employee boaters, check them out and see what they have been up to in their off time:

And not to mention Heather Herbeck, she is off in Mexico for a kayaking trip, have fun Heather!
