Wet Planet Gift Certificates are great as Christmas Gifts, work bonuses, anniversary presents, birthday gifts, or a simple way to encourage someone you think will love being out on the river to enjoy one of our trips.

Personalized gift certificates are available for all of our whitewater rafting trips and kayak courses. Just let us know which trip or course you are interested in, who the gift certificate is for, and what you want it to say. You'll receive an 8x 10 glossy gift certificate personalized just for you and the recipient. If you've paddled with us before, we can even put your own picture on the gift certificate!

Your Gift Certificates Help Wet Planet Give Back to the Global Community (return to top)

At Wet Planet, we recognize that while we have had great success with our business in the past year, many others both within and outside of our own community have not been as fortunate. Natural disasters and political conflicts around the world are inflicting tremendous damage. As responsible members of a global community, and in keeping with the holiday spirit and our ethics of environmental stewardship, Wet Planet Rafting and Kayaking is donating 15% of all Holiday Sales to the following two organizations:

Mercy Corps, a non-profit organization with a headquarters in Portland, OR, helps to relieve suffering, poverty, and oppression by helping people build secure, productive, and just communities. They have provided relief services or development assistance in 81 countries around the world.

1% for the Planet is an alliance of businesses committed to donating their revenues to help create a healthier planet. This is accomplished by collectively donating to and supporting a variety of carefully selected environmental organizations worldwide. Recognizing our dependence upon a healthy environment, these businesses have collectively donated over five million dollars to environmental non-profits since 2001.

Wet Planet will donate 15% of all sales through December 31st to these two organizations.

Wet Planet forms Partnership with Julee's Gorge Tours (return to top)

Julee's Gorge Tours is the only full-service event planning company in the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood National Forest, specializing in recreational corporate retreats and team-building.

As a new partner, Julee's Gorge Tours will be the provider of off-river team building work shops for Wet Planet, while we will continue to provide on-river team building seminars. By working with Julee's Gorge Tours, we are excited about the additional possibilities that we are able to offer groups off the river, both in terms of custom events and corporate team building.

Safe return from Multiple Rivers Expedition (return to top)

As many of you know, Wet Planet guide and kayak instructor, Andy Round, left in late August to join a team of international paddlers attempting to become the first group ever to consecutively paddle the Susitna, Alsek, Tatsenshini, and Stikine rivers. These four rivers, located in Alaska, the Yukon Territory, and British Columbia, are among the most challenging multi-day kayaking expeditions in the world. We are happy to announce that Andy returned without injury in early October. Although high water levels kept the group from paddling the Stikine River, Andy believes that the Multiple Rivers for Multiple Sclerosis Expedition was a success. If you are around Wet Planet this Spring or Summer, feel free to ask Andy for details of his adventures.
