Tieton River Playboating Clinic

Hot News: Wet Planet is offering a 1/2 day playboating clinic on the Tieton River on Sept. 20th. We'll use the Bridge Wave on the Tieton to work on both beginning and advanced playboating moves. Surf, spin, blunt, and improve your playboating skills with Wet Planet instructor Andy Round. Time and Location: 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm, Sept. 20th on the Tieton River Bridge Wave.

Are you comfortable running the rapids on your local rivers and ready to begin "playing" the river features you used to avoid? Then get out on the water with a Wet Planet play clinic and learn to paddle in the 3rd dimension.

In this clinic we'll use multiple river features, as well as flatwater, to develop an understanding of how you can harness the water's power and the way it interacts with your boat to practice numerous play-boat maneuvers. We'll start off by working on correct posture and edge control, as well as some of the fundamental skills used when play-boating (such as surfing, stern squirts, and the double pump). Next, we'll spend time on the water practicing and developing more advanced play maneuvers: surfing forwards and backwards, spinning on waves, the cartwheel, bow and stern stalls, wave wheels, and kick flips. Whatever your interest, our instructors can break down the moves and help you develop the techniques needed to get you playing the river.
