REMOVAL OF CONDIT DAM IS SCHEDULED FOR OCT 2011!

Will there be a day when we can raft the White Salmon River all the way to the Columbia River? Well, we are one step closer to that possibility. It's now official: The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has issued the final order for decommission of the Condit Dam on the White Salmon River. Whitewater rafters, kayakers, and fisherman alike will soon be able to enjoy another free flowing river in the Pacific Northwest. KIDS’ WINTER KAYAK SERIES - TRY IT FREE ON JANUARY 29TH

Have you thought about having your child try kayaking, but were worried they would say, "I'm scared" - "I don't know anyone" - "I don't know what to do." We have the solution! Our winter Kids' Kayak Series held at the Hood River Pool. The goal: to get kids to have fun in a kayak, while also teaching them basic paddling skills and confidence in the water.

TRY IT FREE: On January 29th, the first class of the series is free to all kids. You pay only the $5 pool fee.
