Wet Planet Offers Rafting Trips on the Tieton River! |  |

and Group and Event Organizers, Wet
Planet is excited to announce that we have purchased the operations of
Adventure Professionals on the Tieton River. This purchase means
that we are now holders of a Tieton River permit. This helps us to
continue our tradition of bringing our guests the best of Oregon
whitewater rafting and Washington river rafting by adding the Tieton
River to our list of whitewater rafting runs in Washington and Oregon.We are pleased to announce that Wet Planet Rafting and Kayaking will begin offering whitewater rafting trips on the Tieton River this September. When most of the rafting rivers in Oregon and Washington are running dry, the Tieton River provides an excellent seasons’ finale. Each September, water is released from Rim Rock Lake to increase river levels for spawning salmon on the Naches River. This release of water roars down through the Tieton River Canyon, turning the Tieton into a big-water, class III+ rollercoaster with non-stop whitewater action. This September, the Wet Planet crew will head to the Tieton River for this incredible late-season whitewater event. The typically gorgeous fall weather found on the eastern flanks of the Cascades, ponderosa pine forests, spectacular basalt gorges, and guaranteed high water all combine to create an incredible whitewater experience. The action on the Tieton is fast paced, stopping spots are rare, and the rapids are continuous. Any one looking for great rafting in the Fall or a new river to run with Wet Planet will not want to miss this opportunity. For all of our Tieton River rafting trips, the Wet Planet crew will meet you at our base camp close to the put-in for the run. For those of you that have rafted on our other rivers and been based out of the Wet Planet Headquarters, don't worry... we take the comforts of our headquarters on the road with us. Our Tieton base camp is a private camp site, and you'll still find all of the high quality gear (wetsuits, booties, fleece jackets, etc.) that you need to keep you warm, our retail store with t-shirts and souvenirs will be set up, and we will still be taking pictures of your trip. In fact, our base camp in the Tieton River canyon is such a relaxing place to hang out that we include a BBQ with all of our Tieton trips, and we encourage anyone planning to arrive early or leave late to stay and camp out with us. Here it is … the newsletter special: All previous Wet Planet guests will receive a 10% discount on a Tieton River trip during our first season of operation on the Tieton. The trips will run from Friday through Sunday each weekend in September, with morning launch times at 9:30 am and afternoon launch times at 2:00 pm.
